Impolite Conversation is a place where we can talk about the things we were told not to discuss in polite company - politics, sex, spirituality & religion and money - as well as science, culture, personal development and more. Our content is not all risqué or even rude: When we use the word "Impolite", we're talking about an attitude - one of not blindly following conventions or authority, especailly when they divide (or even oppress) us. House of Lords

A Poem by Graham Roos

When I am old and worthy

and elected to the Lords

I shall buy some half-moon glasses

and attend the house by Internet

from my summer house abroad.

I shall head the new committees

and peer through half-moon specs

at waitresses in restaurants

and buxom girls that show their sex.

I shall educate the masses

and intimidate the lower classes.

And with grand deliberation

I’ll keep my job

as chief panjandrum of the nation.
